The 2009 presentation night was another success. Held at Roko, it was a great send off after a good season. Congratulations to the winners, and a big thank-you to everyone who helped
organise it, and to ... for providing the buffet.

The lions made up the numbers in a charity football game against a legends side, featuring many ex Haxby players and ex York City superstars. The match was in aid of the local charity SNAPPY, raising money for special needs children. In order to even up the one sided match, Lions manager Trevor Hodgson was in charge of the ex professionals, guiding them to victory!
The Lions recently took part in a 6-a-side competition at Imphal Barracks, fulford. 9 of us played, finishing 3rd from a group of 6. Good day had by all.
The Lion's annual weekend away to Yeovil has been and gone. All 16 lions are safely back in York, and even managed to win a football game! The Jinnah Indian restuarant played host to this this years presentation night on the 9th May. It was a great evening, many lions in attendance. After a load of food and beer, Trev summarised the season in the kindest way he could - quickly, and then presented the awards:
